Chose this cruise for a weekend getaway. We arrived at the port at 10:30 am and were on the ship by 11:15. Ship was very clean and well maintained for its age.

***Dining -- We had my time dining and ate in the Starlight dining room. For anyone who has cruised on Royal Caribbean in the past, the dining room menu has not changed since we first cruised with them in 2012. The service was a little slow at times but the food came out hot and exactly as ordered (if you order your steak or prime rib medium rare, it comes out medium rare). It didn't bother us as we were on vacation and not in a hurry to be anywhere. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Formal night was the night we were in Nassau and you saw a variety of attire from fancy dresses and suits to sundresses and khakis and polos. They did not enforce the dress code on the other nights of no shorts and flip flops in the dining room but the people that did have them on still had on a decent shirt and not a tank top or anything like that. Windjammer had a good selection to choose from.

***There were a variety of activities for all ages. The Quest game show and the Love and Marriage game show were the best we have seen out of all of the cruises we have been on. The cruise director and his staff are phenomenal.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin H

We had oceanview staterooms #2126 and #2128. Rooms were smaller than on the other Royal Caribbean ships we have been on (Freedom and Adventure) but that was to be expected as it was a much smaller ship. If you have the beds together the bed is against the wall on one side and the other side has a path you can get down. There was plenty of room for as much time as we spent in there and would have no problem booking either an inside or oceanview stateroom again on this ship. Previous reviews had comments about the beds being hard, while I can say that they were a bit firmer than on our 3 previous cruises on the other ships, they were still comfortable to sleep in. Cabin attendant Nataylia did a fantastic job!

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We drove over the morning of departure as it is only 2 hours from our house. Did not do anything prior to getting on the ship but have traveled over here in the past and spent time on the beaches and at Kennedy Space Center.

Nassau

Purchased Aquaventure day passes to Atlantis via their website a couple of months before we traveled. Took taxi from the port which cost $20 for the 4 of us. During this time of year the passes are good until 7 pm for the water park/beaches as this is when they close them all down. You can stay on the property for as long as you like and catch a taxi right out front back to the port.
