We sailed on the Sensation out of Miami on May 23. We arrived in Ft Lauderdale around 10:30 and took the shuttle over to Miami for embarkation. Not totally up on Uber or other more hip ways of transportation so went ahead and paid for the shuttle. Didn't do so until we were at the airport when we arrived since I thought I had it booked when checking in online. My bad but it all worked out.

Embarkation: went smoothly even though the lines were long. We picked 1-1:30 for our check in time and couldn't have timed it better. Didn't have to wait that long to get into the room either.

Room: We were on the Empress Deck E136 with a window. Since we weren't planning on spending much time in the room, we didn't pay for the balcony. Yes, it's a bit dated but it served its purpose. William was very accommodating and the room was always spotless. Ladies make sure to bring a hair dryer. Toilets did stop working for a short time in the morning the day we got back to Miami but was quickly resolved. Also being on that level made disembarkation a breeze since that's where they start.

Cabin 6E

Our cabin steward William was very good. Room was attended to twice a day and was kept very clean. Bed was comfortable too. Only one outlet but worked out just fine for us. Bring a hair dryer.
