We chose this cruise because of the ports of call, always wanting to see the British isles and Paris. The bad: the food on this ship is definitely not up the the quality I have experienced on previous celebrity cruises. MDR was nothing special except for the "elegant chic" evenings, when both presentation and quality was of my previous cruises, otherwise meh. Same with the ocean view cafe unless you like fajitas, curries, and hamburgs. Totally basic offerings. And we were barraged constantly to reserve at the extra cost speciality restaurants. Also, we were disappointed with a few of the shore excursions. For example, our day inparis with lunch at the Effiel Tower was dreadful. Our coach bus flew by the points of interest with no chance to take photos. Lunch was veal with no exceptions. As I do not eat red meat I was surprised to be told I had no choice! Our tour guide was ineffective and uninteresting. This excursion was just not worth the cost of $250 each. We just felt so ripped off. Same with our Canterbury tour where our tour guide told us Dover port was the busiest in Europe and other various incorrect info. So disappointing.
The good: ship is lovely, cabin crew (Nicole and Neil) were exceptional. The ports were really great choices but in future we will arrange our own tours. The exception was oor tour guide for Mont St Michel (Amalie) she was fantastic. So full of fun and really into the destination.
Will never choose this ship again and will likely stick to Royal Caribbean for future cruises.
Blarney castle was awesome and tour guide was fun and informative
Edinburgh castle. Awesome tour and tour guide.
Toured on our own. Hoho bus and boats were terrific. Recommend the Artis zoo.
