I chose this cruise because I had $250 deposit from a previous cruise to spend. I should have let it go because this cruiseline has changed its entertainment, food, and game policies. We were charged $24.99 each if we wanted lobster, $10 per couple to bowl one game, etc. This nickel and dime approach to online food and games in cruising was not found on previous Norwegian cruises or other cruise lines.

I also missed having some instructional features of the places we visited - it would have been nice to have heard about the culture, land features, etc. of our ports of call. I also missed the quiet places that I found in other places - too many people, too big a ship. There were only two main theatre productions and both were contemporary music style shows. I missed the dramatic and historical features that I experienced on other cruises.

The service was great and our room steward, Patrick, was wonderful. But the other problems left me very dissatisfied with the Norwegian Escape. As a result of my dissatisfaction with Norwegian Escape, I will be exploring other cruise lines.
