This was our 6th cruise with Uniworld and our third on the River Queen. A couple of things we love about Uniworld are the ships are unique as opposed to being cookie cutter and they do an outstanding job of hiring and training the staff.

We always get a suite primarily for the larger bathroom with two sinks instead of one plus you have a butler which is very nice. The food is very good and plentiful and the service in the dining room is outstanding.

This cruise was unique but I believe it demonstrates why we will always sail with Uniworld. High water on the Rhine forced a disruption with the itinerary the first several days. Piet, the cruise director, made adjustments on the fly and was still able to get most of the planned excursions taken care of to everyone's satisfaction. The afternoon of the 6th day my wife had a bad bicycling accident while on a ride with a group. The following evening it became obvious that she needed medical attention. The morning of the 8th day Piet and irma, the Hotel Manager, arranged for a taxi to take my wife, myself and our Butler Marko to the emergency room in Trier. Marko stayed with us the entire time and at 12:15 we were on our way back to the River Queen for a 1pm sailing. My wife suffered a concussion, 4 broken ribs and a bruised kidney. They wanted to keep her in the hospital for three days but she declined because she knew she would get good care and rest on the ship. That was a huge understatement. The staff took amazing care of her over the balance of the cruise. Marko was at her beck and call. He checked with her before every meal to see if she was hungry and then took her order which he then delivered to her while she was in bed. He would check in multiple other times throughout the day to see if there was anything he could get her or do.
