This was the second time we have been on the Baltic Cities & St Petersburg cruise, and just as with the first time, it was thoroughly enjoyable.

We sailed from Hull in East Yorkshire and the operation there was so smooth; drove car into a large parking shed, unloaded bags, they were loaded onto a van, we climbed aboard a bus with our hand luggage and were driven to the 'check-in' area. Check-in was very straight forward and we were on board the Marco Polo in no time.

A buffet was available as soon as we embarked and was as expected - delicious. In fact, all the meals on board ship were lovely and there was always plenty of choice.

Cabin Review

Cabin 6

Our cabin, Category 6 Standard Twin Ocean View, was on the Caribic Deck and even though you could hear the propeller, this didn't stop you from sleeping. If anything, it lulled you to sleep. The cabin consisted of two beds, a 3 door wardrobe, 4 sets of drawers and a bathroom (shower only) and a safe. Our cabin stewardess kept everything spotless.

Also, lower down means that if the weather is rough, you don't feel the rolling and pitching as much.
