The staff was rude, the food was mediocre at best (specialty restaurant's were good...for an additional $35). The entertainment was not entertaining, The VAT Tax was unexpected and no where on the per cruise information did NCL say they charged a VAT tax. First cruise line I have ever seen charge a VAT...on top of the 18% gratuity they add. No self service laundry so has to spend 445 to launder my tee shirts so I had clean close for the rest of the three weeks we were spending in Italy. The whole NCL experience just seemed they were nickel and diming you everywhere they could. Another example the Ice Bar. $20 cover. asked to take a peek to see if I would be interested in a future visit...No was the answer. The main desk got mad at us when we wanted to break a 100 euro into smaller bills. The craps dealer got mad at me because I was not rolling the dice fast enough for him...It was all about how fast can he get the customer to roll a 7. Net Net..back to Princes for us...never again on NCL.
