First, the positives - our Room Steward, the Bar and Horizons (Buffet dining) wait staff were wonderful. The entertainment was pretty good - some variety. The theatres are lovely, however not very suitable for the majority of passengers with mobility issues. The beds were comfortable. The Atrium is beautiful. The medical staff were excellent, but be warned, any medication they give you will be very expensive-even paracetamol. I'm struggling to find more positives.

We had an Oceanview room on Caribe deck. It was tired looking. the carpet well overdue for renewal. The bathroom absolutely tiny. The water pressure and volume in the shower was terrible. The TV mostly worked but sometimes the remote was an issue. I was disappointed that the map view channel was often not working.

Don't go on this ship/line if you need to be on a gluten free diet! We also don't eat fish (allergies) so it was doubly hard to find a meal especially in the dining room. There were only two meal options we could eat, one of which was a pan-seared chicken - which was offered every day we bothered to check the menu, and it was so dry the only time we did order it, that we choked just thinking about eating it again. The buffet dining offered more choices of course, but even then we struggled to find a meal and after eating there for ten days or so I found the whole experience boring. The meals were average but certainly had no pizzazz.

Cabin OC

Tired. In need of refurbishment. Beds were new and comfortable. Bathroom tiny. Shower terrible.

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

Shuttle bus into Sydney was handy, however construction work around the Darling Harbour area made it confusing and difficult to access further transport options. We walked into the CBD and found Sydney-siders very friendly and proud of their town.

Port Denarau

Loved the port shopping precinct. Loved the cultural activities that featured during the day. We negotiated with a local taxi driver who took us around Nadi and Port Denarau.

Suva

No tender - just walked off the ship in Suva. Just walked around the town and found my way to a couple of sights - Government House; Pacific Hotel; Gardens and Museum. Didn't find any main shopping areas. It's an interesting although tired looking town.

Dravuni Island

Loved this day just walking around the island and enjoying the tropical island experience. Didn't want to leave.

Noumea

Very, very disappointing that the city was closed down. Why pull into a port when the city is shut for the day???? The so-called All day on-off bus only went to certain areas - a couple of beach and bar precincts, and the aquarium. I ended up walking to the park in the centre of the city only to feel very unsafe with the numbers of drug users and homeless people hanging around the park and streets.
