This was the Monaco Grand Prix cruise. We were planning to take SilverSea but their cruise was too long. The Quest was billed as a 5 star ship, so we had high, unfulfilled expectations.

Not withstanding an alleged recent rehab, the ship looked old and run down. Our displeasure began with boarding when we were moved from pilar to post around the ship in Nice for health forms at one station, passports at another, and finance and keycard at yet a third.

The cabin, a balcony suite, was small with the "flatscreen" tv on the wall opposite the bed making the ability for two people to pass impossible, but the kicker was the phone booth sized bathroom, with the door that did not open fully, the shower so small that you bash elbows when hair washing, and the distance between the toilet and the door that men have to approach it from the side to urinate.

Cabin Review

Club Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

Cabin VX

Tiny with a bathroom the size of a phone booth.

Port Reviews

Nice

OK city that has help up well.

Florence (Livorno)

Florence is unique and lovely. Ship's crew was totally unhelpful.

Saint-Tropez

More endearing than we thought it would be.

Cannes

We have vacationed there often, the luster seems to have worn off.
