We cruised with MSC last year and loved it so booked again. This route was amazing - Venice - Bari - Olympia - Santorini - Athens - Corfu - Kotor. We are still pinching ourselves in disbelief that we saw so much in 7 days! We were on a fly cruise from the UK and there were 5 passengers - 2 adults - 2 children (15 & 12) and 1 senior. We had 2 cabins with a central inter-connecting door. This worked really well and felt like we had a suite.
We arrived at the cruise terminal in Venice and boarded the ship at 2pm. Only small grumble is our cases did not arrive unit 5.30pm which meant we did not eat in the Ibicius restaurant that night as I need to unpack for the family. The buffet food is well cooked, offered a good variety and was plenty full. The buffet can get vary busy at times and finding a table can be challenging. The 5 course dinner was good. The portions were not large which meant you could choose more courses to try without being full. The service was good and friendly - we had 2 waiters assigned to our table.
The ship is spotless with lots of lounge areas. The entertainment was good and more family orientated than we had experienced on the MSC Preziosa last year. The Animation team were brilliant They provided an audience warm up which my children loved. We find that cruising offers brilliant value for money and fantastic variety.
The cabin was spacious and clean. New towels were delivered twice a day.
Venice is stunning. We left this until our last day as we were flying back to the UK at 5.30pm. We had to leave the Port at 3pm but were given a late disembarkation time of 11.00am. This gave us enough time to walk to the Grand Canal just past the Rialto Bridge and take the water bus pack to the Plse Roma.
Nice town but not a lot going on.
Great.
Corfu Town is lovely. What a great surprise.
Simply breathtaking. Will go back.
