1. General Comments: A relatively pleasant cruise and our second one on this class of ship. We spent last Christmas on the sister ship, Mariner of the Seas. The ship was almost full: over 3,200 passengers and almost 1,200 crew. As two years ago, we were part of a group; some of my comments apply only to groups. Anyone within driving distance of Galveston should consider at least one cruise from there. It certainly beats the airline/airport hassle.
We booked a Junior Suite with verandah on the ninth deck. Our group was twelve at the main seating (5:30); we had two tables but we easily squeezed into one table for ten.
The cruise had three sea days which were very relaxing.
If you can swing it, get a junior suite. Walk-in closet, tub with shower, plenty of space, larger verandah.
