Embarkation in UK (Hull) as we live in Grimsby and wanted to visit the Fjords. No flying with no waiting about, ease of boarding and disembarking. The Ship, Marco Polo was adequate but rather dated, crew very helpful, cabin was spacious and clean with an excellent cabin stewardess. The ship's amenities were all close by and very central and easy to find around the decks. The food in general was not to my taste and available selection was at best average. There wasnolatenight buffets which is the norm on most cruise lines.

The on-board entertainment team was at best average and amateurish, lot of on/off stage with no breaks like an on-going commentary about the show. The Guest cabaret was poor, some what crude and "holiday camp" level. The itinerary around the fjords more than made up for the quality of the cruise, especially the ever changing scenery. Shore excursions, mainly road and/or rail trips were rather expensive if booked via the ship and you could save money by booking your own tickets. This was our first cruise with CMV and we would not be likely use them again or recommend this cruise line to potential customers after using Thompsons and P&O cruise lines.
