Last year, my wife and myself cruised the Southern Caribbean on the Explorer of the seas. We like it so much that we couldn't wait to go once more. So, we decided to do another on the Serenade of the Seas. We flew to and from San Juan via U.S. Air (terrible service)! Our embarkment and disembarkment on the Serenade was smooth. Especially the disembarkment. Since we've cruised many times with R/C we were one of the first to leave the ship, before the crowds. That was a plus not having to wait for our color to be called, and all the hassle with the crowds.

Our formal dining table was loaded with some very interesting, and sociable couples. We were at table 449. Everyone at the table got along very well, and we all had a good time. Our wait staff was excellent. Both my wife and myself have cruised many times, and the wait staff from the head waiter to waiter to the assistant waiter were among the best we have ever experienced.

The food in the formal dining room was pleasing to the eye, as well as tasting very good. However, both my wife and myself noticed that the portions seemed smaller than previous cruises. However, there was always seconds, if one was still hungry. In all the formal dining was very good. The windjammer, as always had plenty of food, good selection, and the staff was very eager to help.

Cabin Review

Had a room with a balcony, we like baconies. All my neighbors were very quiet. Our attendant, was very good. Hardly ever seen him, but the room was always attended to, and perfect when we returned. Had a little bit of a sink problem. He had it fixed without myself ever mentioning to him.
