My wife's cousin and her husband had never cruised before, so we invited them to join us on a 5-day Valor sailing to Amber Cove and Grand Turk. We were a little apprehensive at first because her cousin is claustrophobic and gets seasick on the small gambling boat there at Cape Canaveral. But she didn't have any problems at all and is already planning to book their 2nd cruise in October.

We have sailed on 21 Carnival cruises so far, so we more or less knew what to expect. The Valor recently underwent dry dock renovations and this was really nice to see. Guy's Burgers was the biggest hit on the cruise. Long lines were worth waiting in. The burrito bar was another great addition.

The ship is in great shape and there's enough entertainment to keep you busy throughout your cruise. The cruise staff made us feel right at home. Our Head Waitress in the dining room was absolutely the best we've ever had! Her name is Argentina and she's in the Washington dining room (table 423). What a fabulous human being!!!
