We choose Celebrity for our first ever cruise, based on the recommendation of friends and they were right. Bought a package at the Cruise Show Birmingham and travelled independently with Ryanair, Airport Shuttle and Train in to the port.
We did all our excursions with Cruising Excursions booked on line before we travelled. Met at every port and had 6 excellent guides and 1 poor one. Highly recommend this company and the Essential Package for this cruise.
Flew Stansted to Campino Rome and caught the 40 minute Shuttle to Termini Station in Rome where we caught the train to Civitavecchia, the station is huge and it is a long walk to Platform 29 for the Civitavecchia . Spent a comfortable night in the St Giorgio Hotel on the seafront. Got the 2 at euro shuttle bus from the Railway Station to the port the following day.
