Two couples haired a taxi and split the costs.  Enjoyed the sites afforded us on both coasts.

Marc was exceptionally well read, well informed and enthusiastic guide.  We enjoyed visiting Barcelona's Historical Sites so much with our guide, we returned the second day for the Gaudi tour with Marc leading the pack.

Our tour took us into Eze, Montecarlo and areas of Nice including an invaluable stop at the Farmers' Market.  We were provided ample time to visit the areas.  Our guide was very informative.

Prior to leaving Miami, we booked a private van for 4 with Private Tour in Italy .  Jacopo was our driver.  He was very personable, very accommodating and exceptionally informative,  He allowed us to modify our itinerary at will.  At the end, he informed us that we had enough time to take in Pisa's tower before returning to the ship.  Excellent company!  Outstanding driver!

Instead of booking a transfer to Rome from Civitecchia, we booked a tour of Rome with dropoff in the city center (the bus returned to the port).  We had to ask for permission to do this; however, it would benefit the cruiseline and the passengers desiring an overview of the city if this were offered.  It should be considered an option.

Although the Celebrity troupe that performed in the theater had numerous extremely gifted performers, sometimes their song selections didn't make a solid "connection" with our age group.Many of the staff took the time to chat (in spite of their demanding schedules) creating a very "friendly" and "caring" connection with guests.
