We stayed in Seattle a few days before our cruise at the Springhill Suites S Lake Union. It was a nice hotel with a shuttle to town but there was nowhere to eat except their restaurant nearby.

We booked a premium balcony 9B 6279 with room for 4. It was nice with a big balcony. Our debarkation was delayed. We didnt leave until 6pm on May 24. Our adult son had a broken ankle and used a knee scooter to get around.Everyone was very helpful. Because of this were told when the muster drill alarm sounded to all stay in our room and they would come and get us. They did and we sat comfortably in an interior room.

First sea day was quite bumpy but not to the extreme. On our way close to Juneau, we saw a pod of killer whales swimming close to the ship. We also saw humpback spouts. When we arrived in Juneau, we had an independent tour scheduled with Adventures in Alaska for a whale watch and possible Mendenhall Glacier walk. Well we docked late in Juneau. We also had to tender and as FTTF we were waiting in a specific room waiting to be called. By mistake they called 1 and 2 before us. We ended up not having time for the Glacier part of the tour but the whale watch was EXCELLENT. Our group of 4 had the boat to ourselves. The captain was so nice and informative. We had a great time.
