Since this was my 10th Carnival cruise, we got VIP treatment. Upon arrival at the Miami port, we were given a wheelchair for my mom, which was needed and appreciated. They told us we could keep it for the week, which was a nice surprise. We were escorted to the VIP lounge for immediate check-in and access to the ship. We had a nice buffet lunch and checked out the ship and our cabin. Luggage was delivered early, so we were unpacked and ready to have fun before the lifeboat drill.
Our inside cabin was a bit crowded with two twin beds, a rollaway and a wheelchair. (It was not recommended that we old ladies get a fold-down bunk bed.)
As part of VIP service, we got a plate of candies and cakes one evening with "Good Night" written in chocolate on the plate. I got a Concierge Club thermos gift and free entry into casino tournaments. The best benefit of being a VIP (10 or more Carnival cruises) is the free laundry. Almost all the clothes we brought home were clean and folded.
An inside cabin for 3 women was cramped with 2 twin beds, a rollaway and a wheelchair. But the beds were very comfortable. As always, I brought 8 wire (disposable) hangers, because I never feel there are enough. Good closet space, quiet. Adequate room in the bathroom. Suggest for an inside cabin you bring a night light and extension cord.
