We sailed on 21 May. There were 3 couples ranging in age from mid 30's to mid 60's. This was our 52nd cruise, however, our first on Norwegian. The ship has a great concept with very efficient usage of space. Embarkation was long.......waiting area not very nice and announcements to board ship were terrible. Let me say that the staff worked very hard but this ship is seriously under staffed. The room attendant was good but the amount of cabins he had to service was unbelievable. We had the UBP plus 4 Specialty Dining package. The UBP was very good. The longest we waited for a drink was 5 minutes.
Dining on the other hand was not quite good. The Manhattan Dining Room was very good. The food was great and so was the service. The specialty dining was a hit or miss. We ate at La Cucina. The food was okay but the service was terrible. Just shy of 3 hours for dinner. Courses were brought out in no order. We were looking forward to Le Bistro and was very disappointed. Lingering smoke odor even indoors. Again, food was ok and service was very slow. The best dining we experienced was Teppanyaki and Cagney's Steakhouse. Both the food and service were very good. O'Sheehan's was good when it wasn't crowded. The District was very good, however, food was ala carte.
The pool was beyond terrible. Even if you went out at 7am, all the chairs were gone and stayed gone. So many people, so many crowds. Who ever designed the pool deck surely wasn't thinking. The overall ship felt very crowded most of the time.
Very small - bathroom larger than most ships.
Just walked the area. It was good.
