We were on Carnival Pride, chose this cruise because we could drive to Baltimore and not have to fly anywhere. Getting on the ship was easy, no problems at all with passports! Room on the 8th deck was ready and clean and Randy was a very nice guy. Loved all the towel animals on our bed every evening and the towels on the top deck on Thursday! Not sure if the balcony was worth the money because we didn't have time to set on it a lot. First day, Monday at sea, was a little cool but there was plenty to do on the ship that day. Loved Guys Burger Joint and had good choices on the buffet for breakfast and lunch. Evening meals in the dining room were great, had a lot of choices of food and all was fixed well. One evening our steaks were not well done but they were taken back and we received new ones that were done just right. Service was wonderful and the waiters were very attentive to our needs. There is pizza and soft serve 24 hours a day and both were good.

Tuesday and the rest of the week was much warmer and good weather to play mini golf and enjoy the outdoors on the decks. Loved the movie theater, movies were up to date and enjoyable! The shows and entertainment by the comedy acts were great, just make sure you get to the shows early because of getting a place to set, need more room for people to set. The night dance club was disappointing when they had country music, the DJ had old music and nothing up to date. The other nights were ok. The water slides looked fun, but we did not try them.

We were very disappointed on Thursday, the day we ported at Nassau because half of the activities that were on the "fun sheet" didn't take place and the activity director for that day seemed to be pretty lazy!! So if you are staying on the ship the days that you port in the Bahamas, don't expect a lot of activities!! If you want to set on the Serenity Deck, get there early because not many places to set there either. The excursions were well managed by Carnival and ok to do. We went to Disney World on Wednesday and had plenty of time to do things and see shows. We went on this cruise to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and would go on the this cruise ship again but to different islands.
