This was our 12th HAL cruise and we were anxious to sail on the Koningsdam. Embarkation out of Amsterdam was flawless. Boarded and went straight to our room. Suite 6229, Neptune with a huge wrap around balcony. Although smaller room compared to other Neptune suites on other ships, it was delightful. No dressing room. A plus was the in-room coffee maker. The crew on board this ship are really well trained and happy. Captain DeVries is obviously vey proud of his new ship, and it shows. Am new way to do the muster - much appreciated. No standing out on deck in the rain. We had two minor snagging problems and we reported these to our cabin steward, Robert, who had them fixed in no time at all. As I said, so well trained. Disembarkation was also a breeze, no lineups in the hallways and luggage ready to be picked up.
Smaller than other Neptune suites but lovely. Huge wall mounted TV. Upgraded bath robes and amenities. Overall, met our requirements and more.
