We are a childless couple (when cruising) and have always sailed without children. Even so we have sailed on DCL 7 times and a few others once. Then there is Carnival! We began sailing CCL in 2014 on The Sunshine. We loved it. I was happy we loved it because it was a lot less money for a 7 night cruise on CCL than on DCL. And quite frankly I was tired of having to leave the comfort and quiet of my adult areas on DCL to go in search of food only to have to enter the kid zone! Sometimes, as childless travelers, I would just look around and wonder why. But the service, shows, accommodations, and beauty of the ships were so good, I just loved our trips! And obviously we love Disney and we love kids otherwise we probably wouldn't even have considered sailing with them without kids.
Ok anyway, so that is how we got to Carnival.
So we loved our Sunshine and Liberty cruises. Then I was excited to be able to last minute book a cruise on Triumph out of NOLA. The departure port was part of the excitement. I watched videos as I always do to get to know the ship and I was excited!
The cabin was fine. The drawer in the dresser has a broken top drawer. The balcony was very nice. The extra space in the cabin was nice. Really liked the windows and the reading lights over each side of the bed. The bedding was great! I loved the pillows so much I will be ordering some for home! Cabin steward Ronald was good. Didn't see him much and he did no turn-down first night, otherwise he did animals maybe 3 of the 5 nights and ice morning and night.
Location was good. Close to elevator and atrium. Noise from atrium could be heard when door was open but was not that bad with door closed and we were never unable to sleep.
