We are pretty loyal to Royal, but have tried other lines. We have been on the Oasis before and thought that it was only par. Thought we would give it 1 more try before deciding not to cruise on that size ship again. Unfortunately, this class of ship is not for us. There is just something missing. While this cruise was better than the last Oasis cruise, the same feeling that 'something was missing' kept coming back over and over again. We really enjoy the summer camp for adults feeling and a little hospitality and we do not get that on this ship; it is just too big and too many people. There is no way the staff can accommodate that feeling with so many people.

Specific things that were bothersome: 1. The dining room was chaos, no class, lacked structure, the food was just par, loud, and the singing and dancing was a little too childish. The guests were even required to participate. 2. There is no Welcome aboard. 3. There is no Farewell show. 4. Standing in line and getting reservations is not how I want to spend my vacation, especially when they move your entertainment to a different time and it messes up your whole flow. 5. There were less activities to do. 6. It felt like we were always running somewhere but getting nothing done. 7. There were long lines for food, specifically in the Windjammer. The set up of the Park cafe is ridiculous. The salad line and the sandwich line are the same line. They at times merge and other times don't so everyone feels like they are either budging or waiting too long for something that should have been simple. Same for the dessert and the coffee arrangement in there. 8. Debarkation was slow! Not the ship, but the customs line. They need more customs people. 9. There are no places to just sit and watch the waves.

There were many things that just weren't great. For the extra price you pay to be on the big ship, it is not worth it. We tried it twice. Found the same problem twice. Don't plan to go back.
