I flew in one night pre-cruise and stayed at the Embassy Suites near the airport. I was a bit disappointed in this hotel. It did not have the atrium as all the previous Embassy Hotels I have stayed in, and therefore, in my opinion, lacked the atmosphere that I expected. This hotel was once a Guest Quarters hotel and that is the reason for the difference. The breakfast buffet was up on the second floor and again not as nice as other Embassy experiences-including the food offerings. Post cruise I stayed one night at the Grand Hyatt near the airport and everything about this hotel was exceptional. Now on to the cruise. Both embark and disembark were a breeze. Very well organized and one of the best I have experienced. Everything about this cruise was exceptional. In the MDR the I found the food and food choices wonderful each and every evening. The service was impeccable both in the dining room and in my cabin. In fact the entire crew of this ship was incredible. My cabin attendant (Elvis) made unique and interesting towel figures twice each day. My waiter (Andrew)and his assistant (Eku) were marvelous and attentive. The Windjammer had many nice choices both for breakfast and for lunch. There were many young people on this sailing as it was school vacation time. Also many families with young children. I was concerned about this prior to sailing, however, this was hardly noticeable during the cruise. This was the shortest cruise I have ever been on and I did expect these various ages to be aboard. Entertainment on this sailing was very enjoyable with comedians the first 4 nights. The 5th night, the Royal Caribbean singers and dancers performed for their debut on this sailing and they too were wonderful. The cruise director (John Blair) and his wife Katrina were spontaneous and fun. They worked hard on planning activities and entertainment and you could definitely appreciate their efforts. The junior suite was very spacious and comfortable. Having been in

The junior suite was very spacious and comfortable. Having been in junior suites on previous cruises, but never on Grandeur, I was surprised that there was no walk-in closet on this ship. However, there was an incredible amount of storage space including a small closet near the door with shelves. The balcony was quite large and comfortable. My only concern here was that both balcony's alongside mine had "smokers" on board which took away some balcony time for me as I would quickly retreat to my room whenever this happened. That is why a lot of my future bookings are now on Celebrity.

In summary, Royal Caribbean continues to provide an outstanding cruise vacation experience.
