My husband and I have been on over 50 cruises with all the various cruise lines. We chose this cruise because of the price deal (2 for 1 balcony cabin) We had been on the Divina a few years ago and knew it was a beautiful ship with great entertainment, but the food and service were lacking. The Divina is one of the most stunning and beautiful ships that we have ever been on. We think both the food and service now has improved vastly from our first MSC cruise in 2009 on the Orchestra and from just a few years ago on the Divina. We read several mixed reviews before we went this time, but decided to go with low expectations and an open mind. We were very pleasantly surprised!

We thought the food was good, both in the dining room and buffet. Breakfast buffet went until 11:45 most days for those who want to sleep late. The pizza on the buffet was fresh and delicious as well as salads and several other dishes. The cappuccino, specialty coffees and gelato were also delicious. I paid $30.00, a great deal offered on the first day for 20 articles of clothing to be cleaned and ironed throughout the cruise. A real plus for me! We also purchased the internet package which was a good deal for $66.00 and Specialty restaurant package (5 different restaurants $117.00 each pkg). However, we didn't think the Specialty Restaurant Package was worth the extra money. They need to do some work on those.

The staff were all very friendly and efficient, unlike they used to be. The entertainment was wonderful throughout the ship, even late into the night. We also purchased the all inclusive drink package, which was great if you want to drink a lot. Otherwise, they have several other drink packages which are much less expensive. MSC also matches your status from other cruise lines. We are Elite and Diamond Members on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean so we are now because of Status Match, Black Card status on MSC. We enjoyed a few nice perks this time with our new status. Priority Embarkation was wonderful, since there were about 100 people in front of us and they let us go to the front of the line immediately. They also delivered us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries not once, but twice during our cruise. A free specialty restaurant as well as several other nice surprises were also included. On debarkation day they let us stay in our cabin until 9AM, and then we just leisurely walked off. All in all, we had a wonderful time on the Divina and would gladly go back on again. We are also booked on the new MSC Seaside for Feb. 2018. If you are contemplating on taking the Divina, go with an open mind and I'm sure you will have a great time, too.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B2

Nice size cabin. King size bed, 2 night stands, dressing table small refrigerator, good closet space with ample drawers and safe. Bathroom was adequate with nice vanity sink small shower with glass shower doors instead of dreadful shower curtain some cruise lines still use. Balcony was adequate with two chairs and one footstool. Could use a small table for drinks.
