Cabin: AquaClass 2

We had an Aqua Class room (1537). It is like all the other regular balcony cabins except for the following: 1. You are assigned dining in the BLU restaurant, not the main restaurant. Blu is quaint and only Aqua Class and above are allowed to eat in BLU. Every night we compared our menu to the main dining room menu and it was pretty parallel, only Blu had healthier choices. We ate in BLU every night. On the day of our anniversary the staff sang to us and brought us chocolate cake. My opinion: not worth the extra cost for the Aqua Class room 2. You have free access to the persian garden, which is an area of the ship that has a co-ed steam room, co-ed sauna, tropical rain shower, and warm tiled relaxation chairs. This perk is available to all other classes below Aqua Class for a fee of $99 per person for the week, or $20 per person for the day. My opinion: not work the extra cost for the Aqua Class room. 3. You are get daily fruit delivered to your room, but it is the same fruit you can get in the buffet, you get canapes delivered to your room at a specified time, but you have to be in your room to get them delivered and they are like tiny little snacks right before dinner. You get a bottle of champagne if you are Aqua Class. All these perks, not worth the extra cost for Aqua Class. 4. You are charged an extra amount for the stateroom attendant tip if you are in Aqua Class, but I think it's only like $2.00 or day or something close.

Now, for the ship. It's beautiful, never felt crowded, always chairs available at the pool (we sat in the indoor pool everyday which was really quiet and relaxing). The average age on this ship was probably around 60. There were very few kids, maybe 20 at the most that I saw. The people seemed to be from all over. Our table mates in BLU were from Tennessee and Ireland. They were interesting and fun to talk to at dinner. There was also another lady at our table who was writing a book and traveling alone. The shows were just okay, nothing too exciting, but always plenty of room in the theatre.

Now, for the gym. I'm a big workout buff and I guess this was counted as my off week because there were no good cardio classes. I took a spinning class that was a joke. The others in the class felt the same as me and we actually paid EXTRA for that ($12). Worse spinning class I ever took and I lugged my spinning shoes with me and evidently the clips are not standard U.S. clips so my shoes were useless! There was always plenty of cardio equipment available any time and the weight equipment was decent. The stretch class at 7:30am is every day and it's FREE. It's a nice way to start the day if you are an early riser.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 2

Cabin A2

Cabin - Aqua Class 1537 - Good size, quiet (spa was above us, cabins below us). Adequate store space, nice size bathroom for a cruise ship, great shower!
