* Pre-cruise-- we stayed at Cambria Suites, in Dania, about 15 to 20 min. from the cruise port. Great rooms, as they are all suites; very spacious. There is a cost for breakfast and for the shuttle service, which was provided by All Stars (pay for both ways, up front). Lots of excitement as we all headed to the port!!

*Embarkation-- our fastest ever, of 5 cruises! We never sat down in a waiting area! We had been dropped off, by the limo van, waited a bit for the porter to take our luggage, then kept walking, and next thing we knew, we were going up onto the ship!! On board at 11:15.

Port Reviews

Aruba

We quickly toured the downtown shops, as we found it so ho outt. We decided to get to Eagle Beach as planned. We pre-paid (both ways) a van service to take us , and we were dropped off across from the Amsterdam Hotel; their beach area. We put all of our stuff down at a shaded area, under a palapa, with rattan couch, chairs and table. A fellow/server would come to us, for our drink orders, and we ordered a delicious Margarita pizza. We spent a few hours here, with beautiful waters and beach. At our designated time, we waited for our return van....no show, so had to take a cab back to port!!! Later, I fought for our 'return' money back, from van co. and got it. Not sure how often this happens!!

Bonaire

I had planned for us to go to Vibe City, at Sorobon Beach, on the east coast. We paid for a one way taxi van trip to the location, which was about 15-20 mins. away, and our driver had a designated pick up time, for us. The beach area was a beautiful, turquoise colour, and there were alot of windsurfers sailing about. We did get into the water, but it doesn't have a major beach area there. We were fine with it, tho'. We ordered drinks, over at the bar/restaurant area. Some of the chairs over there, were situated in the shallow water!! Went to meet our taxi, with the other couple that rode there with us, and another no show, at this island!! We were getting frantic, as we had to be back on the ship in 25 minutes. My husband flagged down a local man with a truck, and the 4 of us were offered a ride by him. We arrived back in time. Thanks, man!!
