We arrived into Miami Saturday night, stayed at the Hyatt 15 minutes from the port (Hotwired a deal) and it was quite easy to check-in. We waited perhaps 30 minutes total by the time we were entering the ship. No complaints there. First thing we noticed is how dedicated NCL was to sanitizing everything your hands in particular. There's even a no hand-shaking policy. That has changed since the last time we cruised.
The ship was in immaculate condition. For a ship that is about 3 years old they do an amazing job keeping up the interiors/exteriors. I wouldn't say this ship had the "wow" factor we've had on some of the big RCL ships for example with the huge atriums and shopping promenades. It was a bit more subdued but everything sparkled nicely.
Our cabin was an outside with balcony "mini-suite" with mini being the keyword there. It felt a bit smaller than we've had on other ships nothing dramatic just seemed a tighter squeeze than I recall but our daughter (9) had her own part of the room with the pull-out bed and the dividing drape which she liked. It was a little strange to have the TV on her side so if she was going to sleep there was little chance of watching a movie and the TV is a good ways away from the bed.
Good location, just a floor below kid's club and buffet - ready access to the pool. Very central on the ship and easy elevator access. A little smaller than expected for a "mini-suite" but expect about the size of an outside balcony with a divider and you'll know what to expect.
