Ship Facts: Majesty of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Majesty of the Seas Deck Plans
1st time cruise- Majesty of the Seas did not let us down!!!
To begin DH decided that he preferred to do a road trip from Pa to Fl.. instead of flying. We left Friday the 27th of March and arrived in Florida the next day. We stayed in Coral Springs, Fl at the Courtyard by Marriott..Very nice hotel..Great 2 night stay.

Day 1~ Port of Miami~ We arrived at 11:30 to park and board. Pulled right up to terminal G and the porter took our bags..tipped him $3.00.. Parked in the underground parking garage and off we went to board. The actual boarding process was smooth with hardly no lines.. We got in line at 12:06 and were on the ship by 12:27.. Pics taken and all.

We do not have passports yet so we took our original birth certs and my marriage license along with our set sail pass printed at home. We only needed the set sail pass and birth certs..Marriage license was actually not needed..But better safe than sorry.

Ate at the Windjammer upon boarding since cabin wouldn't be ready until 1:00..Food was just ok the 1st meal..

Our room was ready promptly at 1:00 and bags arrived by 5:00..We took a 12 pack of water sealed in plastic however three of the bottles DID NOT contain water..They contained vodka (2) and rum(1)..We took 3 bottles out and filled them with liquor and squeezed them right back in..No problemo..

We had an oceanview cabin which to my surprise was not as small as we expected. The bed was two twins pushed together..flat screen tv mounted above bed..desk..vanity with chair..safe in closet...nice bathroom stall..Plenty of storage between the closet and drawers...small porthole window.

That evening we ate at Sorrento's pizza- just ok.. and Compass Delicuban sandwich was delish and quesadilla was as well..

The 70's dance show was held that evening with cruise director Ricky (awesome)..He donned a huge afro wig, fish high heels, and plaid loud pants..Wonderful...

Day 2~ Nassau~ We left the ship around 10:00 after a delicious breakfast at the Windjammer...We shopped at the straw market (just t shirts)..and had a Goomba Punch at Senor Frogs before heading to our Segway excursion..This is not to be missed..We enjoyed this tour immensely..Warning..the balls of your feet will be sore later that day but you will be back to normal by the next day..

Day 3~ Coco Cay~ DH did the jetski excursion and had an absolute blast..Again not to be missed..This was just a relaxing day on the private beach..The barbecue buffet left alot to be desired...Coco Cay needs to be renovated and we noticed several spots were actually under renovation..It's showing it's age in some spots.

That evening we did formal night..I will advise that not everyone dresses appropriately..We saw women and men in shorts..jeans..and tracksuits..Very very tacky..We did second seating and had a table for 6..The other 2 couples never came..We were glad because we didn't feel like chatting..The food in the Main dining room this night was disgusting..The lobster bisque is without lobster and looks and taste more like burned brown gravy..The black angus was just ok..We left immediately after the entree because we both felt sick..Got back to our cabin and I had the worst case of diarrhea...Never again did we eat in the dining room..Windjammer all the way baby!!!

This evening was the Love & Marriage game which was alot of fun and The Quest (adults only)..This was the best game show and hilarious..

Day 4 ~ Key West~ LOVED IT!!! I won the sapphire and diamond necklace at Tanzanite International which started the day off just right. We rented a scooter for 3hrs and toured the island alone..Scooter rental was $45 and worth every penny..We ate at this restaurant on the beach and had conch fritters (yuck) and key lime pie with oreo cookie crust (yummmmooo)..We then went to Hogsbreath Saloon and had a few beers..Very nice..Before heading out we purchased some key lime cooler cookies and a rum cake..Then last but not least a Key Lime milkshake $6 for medium but very tasty.

We ate at Johnny Rockets (4.95 cover charge per person)..I had a chili dog and grilled cheese..DH had a double burger with onion rings and fries..We then ended the meal sharing a hot fudge sundae...Yummo food

Day 5~ Back to port..Again super easy getting off.. Our tag color (lavender) was called 1st at 8:00 and we were on the road by 8:30...

We enjoyed this cruise so much that I am cruising again May 14th for 9 nights on the Explorer of the Seas with my parents..Then DH and I are cruising again in September 09 for at least 7 nights.
