Sail Date: May 2016

My wife and I cruised on the Thomson Dream for 2 weeks from the 6th May, the first week was the Hellenic Classic and the second week was the Adriatic Explorer.

Overall, we had a great holiday with excellent food and generally good service, with a few notable exceptions. Unfortunately, there were some very poor areas of the holiday, specifically concerning the transfers from and to the airport, which slightly tarnished our holiday.

We arrived in Corfu around 1.30pm on the Friday, and cleared customs and baggage reclaim quickly. However, we had to queue for the room ticket information at the airport, which was made worse when a Thomson rep decided to form a second queue, even though there were the same amount of girls serving. Not really sensible! We then made the short transfer to the port, and then had to queue outside in quite hot temperatures for nearly 2 hours, waiting to pass through the cruise initiation for ID etc. This was not very good for many elder customers, and needs resolving quickly by Thomson. There was then a long walk to the ship, as no one mentioned there was a regular shuttle bus. At the mid point of the cruise, I was in the cruise terminal, and again noticed that no one mentioned the shuttle bus, even to the people with wheelchairs and walking sticks!

Cabin Review

Cabin outside plus

Nice size outside cabin, well looked after, with both bath and shower. A little noise, but no greater than anywhere else on the ship.

Port Reviews

Corfu

Poor access to the Port of Corfu
