The itinerary was ideal for us and Newcastle was easy to get to from home. Embarkation was easy and we were quickly reunited with our luggage.
Cabin 5009 had a porthole rather than a window but as it was an upgrade from an inside one this was not a problem. Plenty of storage space and 2 comfortable single beds in a "L" configuration. Bathroom was small but acceptable. Cabin steward excellent. No noise problem for this cabin.
Food was OK in the Kensington restaurant. The self service one on deck 10 was acceptable but could get crowded. We enjoyed a night at the chef's table where the dishes were up to West End standard and the wine was free flowing.
