I have been on NCL once before. I enjoy the free style dining options and relaxed dress code. The Escape if a beautiful vessel. Upon entering on level 6, you could still smell the newness of the ship. The level of design and decor is really outstanding. There are lots of glass doors between sections and the outside decks which are opened by placing your hand on the round green lit non mechanical switch to open the doors. Excellent idea!
The aft balcony staterooms are smartly designed with lots of storage compartments. You can even store your luggage under the beds. The bathroom is quite roomy as is the glass enclosed shower. The only thing I would change in the bathroom is the faucet, which has a short reach into the sink. When using to wash hands, the water tends to accumulate on the back splash behind the faucet. That could be solved with a longer faucet. The sliding patio door to the outside deck is smartly designed. The handle in the up position is locked and the door is completely sealed from outside noise. Move the handle to the 3oclock position and slide the door to any open amount and return the handle to up and the door locks in place. Upon entering the room, you must insert your room key into the slot above the light switch to activate the room power. The room number sign outside the door lights up in white showing that the room is occupied when the key card is inserted. You can also turn on a "make up room" light in green and a "do not disturb" light in red, both of these will illuminate on the room sign outside. There are plenty of led lights in the room and outlet plugs for charging your devices. There is a mini refrigerator but it is stocked with various drinks that are for extra charge even if you have the Ultimate Beverage Package. There are 3 main (no charge) dining rooms and the pool level Garden Cafe for self serve dining. There are also several for fee dining restaurants.
The top deck 16 is where the pool and sun decks are. The main and adult only pool is quite small for a 4000+ passengers. There is a kiddy pool and play area nearby. The water slides are awesome. There is also a rope walk challenge and a zip line. Don't forget the overboard plank walk.

Miami port is exciting to watch the other ships get ready for departure.
Upon departing out ship you were welcomed to the port which had new buildings with shops etc. We then explored the city via foot. It was safe to walk around amongst the natives. We found a food store and purchased a few bottles of local Rum.
I have been to Nassau 35 years prior and then again in the late 90's. There has been much improvement to the immediate dock area. We left the ship as a group of 6 and walked through the city streets toward the Fish Fry section for a bite to eat. On the way back we stopped at a beach bar and enjoyed some local beers and shots. Then did some shopping at the indoor market and returned to the ship.
