We got to Hawaii a day before our cruise ship was leaving port and took advantage of this extra day to visit Pearl Harbor. It was worth the extra day. Both embarkation and disembarkation @ NCL went very well and quickly. The Pride of America was advertise as being recently renovated and it still needed a little more work.

Overall, we loved the ship and how clean & functional it was. Some of the carpet in the main areas needed stretched and our room carpet had some minor defects. Dining was excellent. Plenty of food and a very good variety. Enjoyed the shows, especially the magic show. Enough entertainment activities to keep you entertained until late into the evening. Overall the cabin was very good, Clean & enough space. One major downside was the toilet was not working for about 18 hours. It took 2 calls & one visit to the Guest Service desk to finally get the toilet fixed. NCL Guest Services never followed up to see if the toilet was fixed. Other than the toilet issue, the overall experience with service on the ship was very good.

Crew was friendly and knowledgeable. We took 5 excursions (4 with NCL & 1 off the ship). Enjoyed them all. If you are looking to safe money, I would recommend that you schedule your own excursions with local companies. You will get the same experience. Would travel again with NCL but our experience with Carnival several years earlier was better.
