Viking picked us up at the airport and the personnel were very easy to find. Even though our flight arrived at 6:30AM, they took us straight to the boat and we were able to eat breakfast on the boat. Our room was ready for us by 9AM! We extended our vacation after the cruise, and the concierge of the boat arranged for a taxi to take us the train station upon disembarking.

Meals onboard were always excellent, and the service was very good. All of the river boat employees spoke english very well, and always had a smile for us. Our cabin attendant always addressed us by name.

The shore excursions were very well arranged and managed, with local guides who also spoke very good english and were never hard to understand. We especially enjoyed not having to sort through multiple excursions and choose each day. There were some optional excursions, although we never felt the need for one. We enjoyed the extended days in port in Cologne, Heidleburg, Kehl Germany and took advantage of the time to explore on our own.
