Wow! What a fantastic experience!

This was our second cruise, and our first with Celebrity, and also our first with a child: our four-year old boy. So we decided to push the boat out a bit and get a Celebrity Suite, and it was well worth the extra, in my view.

Embarkation was painless. We had arranged a taxi from our hotel in Rome to the port, and we didn't have to wait more than ten minutes to get on board. We were able to go straight to our suite, which was nice, and quickly met our butler Ashwin and stateroom attendants Avi and Geoffrey. We hit our first snag shortly after boarding, as our baggage was mislaid and was not delivered to our room. Ashwin was able to track it down fairly quickly though. Disembarkation was also smooth.

Celebrity Suite

Cabin CS

The stateroom was excellent. It was a good size and well laid out and the bathroom was good too, though the bath itself was a bit on the cosy side. The balcony was really big (we had a Celebrity Suite -1122 - on the end of the bulge with a diagonal balcony). It was a great location, near the lifts and the library. There was quite a bit of noise in the lift area in the evenings, but we didn't hear a thing in the suite itself. The cabin was spotlessly clean, and was cleaned beautifully every day by the stateroom attendants.
