I think there were too many glitches to rate this any higher. We did expect the ship to have issues since it was the maiden voyage,,, however some were unexcusable. We had hot water only the first two days, and it was very hard to get anyone up to fix it. Taking a hot, hot , hot shower was miserable and painful on scalp and skin. Many of the public restrooms were empty of paper towels, and were not filled up again for a long long time. There were two water spouts in the lido marketplace that did not work the whole cruise and one of the water spouts delivered only hot water, so it was very difficult to get a nice glass of water with your buffet meal.

We were on your time dining, which normally is great for us,,but this ship decided to have us check in on the 5th floor and get our table and then we had to go down to 3rd floor to dine. So two lines instead of one,,, crazy,,, they claim it was to prevent crowding,, hmm not sure where they go that idea from.

But we had wonderful staff expreineces. Everyone was very friendly and nice and helpful. We especially enjoyed our dining staff. We asked for their tables every time we dined in the dining room.

Cabin 4I

We were pleasantly surprised how quiet this room was. We were very concerened with it being a floor above the lido deck, only a wall seperating us from the public area, and a floor below the water slides. But the only night we had an issue with noise was the night they had a private party with a DJ and he blasted the music so loud our walls were pounding and when the glass door next to our door was opened the sound came blaring through. But they had them shut it down at 1:00 am after coming to our room and hearing it for themselves. we loved being able to walk out our door, and then immediately walk out the glass doors and there we were outside with all the beautiful views and fresh air. We were able to really take advantage of the Dive in movies at night,, sat right outside our room with popcorn and beach towels and when movie was over,, then take the six steps to our room.Perfect. Anyone considereing this room should go for it.

Port Reviews

Dubrovnik

This town was awesome,, we took the cable car up the mountain for the views,, and walked the Old City,, amazing place

Izmir

we just walked off and explored, the only thing we really accomplished was shopping and hitting wifi so we could get in touch with family back home. the wifi on Vista was not good and Hubb was not running well either.

Crete (Heraklion)

very crowded but very interesting

Malta (Valletta)

amazing place,, we think this was a favorite stop

Palermo (Sicily)

not good place,, lot of construction and traffic,, was crazy walking around this city,,, probably should do an excursion

Marseille

They make it very difficult to get off the port,, I am disappointed that Carnival doesnt provide transpiration, we spent a lot of time, trying tofigure out how to get off without paying the 15 euros each that Carnival charged,,, not good Carnival
