Let it be known; we LOVE cruising and only a couple of things niggle us… Naughty kids with irresponsible parents and Smoking, other than that we are your favourite cruise guests.
This was our 3rd TA and each have been with a different cruise line, and coincidently this will be our third Celebrity cruise. We’ve done a reasonable amount of other cruises as well and intend on doing lots more, with that said grab a beverage cos it’s a long one & let’s get into this review.
We (wife & I) stayed in Miami for one night pre-cruise at the Courtyard by Marriott which we found ideal for the short shuttle to the terminal on cruise day, but better still, it was very close to the Whole Foods store where we bought lunch and dinner (salads & sushi) which saved us having to search for a decent place to eat out, which can be a real challenge. Hotel was not cheap, more of a mid to high priced place for the night $199 US. This was by far the best stay we’ve had in Miami or FL for that.
Our Balcony cabin #7204 forward was three doors away from the front lifts. No noise and great for getting out and about. When looking on the deck plans it's the first of the front bubble part that sticks out after the two angled cabins.
The cabin was in good condition and our stewards kept the cabin very well maintained.
With our door opening outwards you had the feeling of even more space when walking in. The balcony was bigger than most balcony cabins we've had and a good size table.
Comfortable bed and pillows with a turndown service & chocolate each night. No towel figures that we saw.
The bathroom was a decent size too, with space for toiletries etc. The sliding shower doors were sometimes a pain, but much better than a curtain any-day.
A good size TV on a swivel arm allowed viewing from the bed or couch easy. The desk and comfortable chair (not a stool) was nice. And a larger than normal safe (PC will fit). Plenty of easy to use hangers. Lots of space under the bed and also two cupboards above the bed. 5 drawers were easily filled next to the mini bar.
All in all, a great balcony cabin.
A great port of call. The sail in was awesome and Lisbon has so many things to see and do. We'd go again
A busy port of call and very touristy, not our favourite place, not sure why all the ships keep going here.
