We took the trip with a group from an American university so we looked forward to spending time with the people with whom we were traveling and hadn't given much thought about being on a Viking cruise. However, the experience with Viking was excellent and much better than we anticipated. In starting our trip before the cruise, the hotels in Berlin and Dresden were both excellent quality and our land tour guide was one of the best that we've met. He was knowledgeable, very personable, and just became part of our group which was great!

The onboard accommodations were very comfortable, the food was excellent and the guides hired by Viking for the daily excursions were quite knowledgeable. We enjoyed meeting so many different people onboard and sharing the daily shore excursions with them. We learned a lot about the places visited, people from other parts of the world and had an extremely good time!
