We chose to do this cruise to do something very special to celebrate our 35th anniversary a little early. It met and exceeded all our expectations. We were met at the airport and taken to the ship and all air connections were smooth. Everything was so well organized. The ship was great, the room was comfortable, the food was outstanding and the service was wonderful. The staff were so caring, accommodating and incredibly attentive and friendly. All the ports and excursions were great. We met really nice people as well. We truly hope to do another cruise in the next few years. We wish we had done the extensions prior to embarkation in Amsterdam and taken an extra day or two in Basel at the end. We didn't know what to expect but we do now. We will definitely do extensions the next time we take a Viking River Cruise.
