We chose this cruise because it included the ports of call of many of the Rhine and Danube cruises in a single cruise. We chose AMA Waterways because we had cruised with them before in Russia and the Netherlands and were very happy.

The Magnificent Europe Cruise meet all of our expectations. The ship was immaculate and the crew was very friendly and responsive to the needs of the passengers. While on the cruise we encountered a minor bout of Norovirus and the crew was prompt to address the issue.

The ports of call were as we expected, but after 14 days you get a little tired of castles and churches. There were half cruising days spread throughout the cruise which gave us a break from the daily tours. In almost all cases we were located close to the city centers and were able to tour some of the cities on our own. There is a lot of walking and cobblestones involved in many of these Medieval cities so bring good walking shoes along. The Cruise Director offered more than one option at every port. Gentle, Regular and Active tours were offered so that everyone felt that they had an option that they could use.
