Bring earplugs!! The noise factor in the cabins and slamming doors were the worst part. I timed the slamming at once every 4 seconds most evenings and the bed would shake when the door was slammed next door. I cannot understand why people can't quietly pull a door closed in the cabin areas where people may be sleeping. The cabin was very nice but walls very thin and we could hear people chattering until late. The coffee maker was a nice touch and the cabin very clean. The balcony was quiet most times, but sometimes you could hear people talking or the sounds of someone clipping their toenails. Often someone was smoking and the smell would waft into the cabin if door was left open.

We chose this cruise because we had not cruised with Norwegian for several years and because of the destination and sailing out of NYC. It was my husband's 14th cruise and my 16th with various cruise lines. We love sailing out of Manhattan and found the embarkation fairly efficient considering there were so many people. The ship, however, seemed overcrowded and the public areas did not absorb people very well. The music blasting in most areas was loud and irritating. They should try to vary the types of music played. I am still hearing the same caterwauling from the same few songs in my head from days ago. Our cabin was at the front and very far from the food. We found the food was way over salted, particularly the meat and gravies.

We enjoyed Bermuda as it is a safe and interesting place with nice shopping and friendly residents. Bermuda Fun Golf was great. The holes on the course are designed after famous golf courses like Pebble Beach and St. Andrews. The Museum is also very informative. Though we enjoyed our cruise for the most part, we are not in a hurry to get back there as the noise factor did not make for much relaxation.

Cabin Review

The cabin itself was nice and roomy, plenty of storage, very clean, very attentive cabin steward. The mattress and pillows were not very comfortable. The noise factor was the worst with thin walls and slamming doors almost constantly.

Port Reviews

King's Wharf

Dockyard is a good area with many things to do and shopping. We loved the museum and also the Bermuda Fun Golf. The mini golf course is set up so that each hole is like one from a World famous golf course like Pebble Beach or St. Andrews. The Clocktower Mall is a good place to shop and air conditioned.

New York (Manhattan)

Visiting NYC again is always great. The sail out of NY Harbor is spectacular and a great place to take photos. Originally a native New Yorker, this embarkation is extra special for me.
