This was my first cruise. I had read all the reviews on here before the trip, which made my boyfriend and I nervous that we weren't going to have a good time. Boy was I wrong. We had an excellent time. I understand that Carnival isn't the nicest cruise line, but that's why it's cheaper than most. If you're looking for super fancy cruise, then Carnival isn't for you. The only issue we encountered was Red Frog bar near the pool. Their service was terrible. We waited to be helped for 30 minutes and watched at least 3 groups of people walk up and get served right away. Then when they did help us, the guy made me the wrong drink. Also we didn't understand why Blue Iguana bar always closed early every day. The service crew were more than nice. They made us feel welcomed there, and if we needed anything we knew we could ask them. The guy that cleaned our room knew us by name. The first two days on the boat, anytime we walked past a crew member they would ask us how our vacation is so far and if we needed anything.

The pool isn't the biggest, but you also have to understand that with how many people are on the ship, it's never going to be big enough. We never had any issues finding a spot to sit/stand in the pool. We were able to get on the wooden plank across the pool several times. The hot tubs were always full but we had our chance in them too. Only issue is the fact that one of the hot tubs says "Adults Only" and there were always kids in the hot tub. There's at least 3 decks with lounge chairs, so you may not get one by the pool but you will find one on one of the decks. I don't see why someone would complain about that, you have to realize there are over 2000 people on board.

There is plenty of entertainment on the boat. Comedy shows, live band, casino, night club, club for kids, Dr. Seuss, pool ,arcade bars, waterslides, mini golf, etc. I did not go to the comedy club but two people I sailed with did. They said the shows were hilarious. There's always something you can be doing.

Cabin 4E

Very clean. Could see wonderfully out the window. The service crew always left cute towel animals.

Port Reviews

Key West

We just walked around. The water was gorgeous. But Key West is a tourist town. I was expecting more than just survivor shops. We went to Ripley's Believe it or Not. That was fun and cheap for how long we spent in the place. I saw a dolphin when we were getting back on the ship.
