Before we left for our TransAtlantic April Repositioning Cruise, I had so much trouble finding good information about what to pack (for weather) that I hope this is helpful.
We left Miami in early April 2016 - mid-to-high 70's (20 - 25 celsius) and were happy to have bathing suits and sunscreen handy as we waited for our luggage to be delivered to our cabin.
As we sailed, most days were mild. A few of them were still warm enough to enjoy some sun-worshipping on deck. We were definitely happy to have bathing suits to use at the inside pool and jacuzzis.
We loved the Underwater Archaeology Museum and the Roman Theatre. And the ANCHOVIE Tapas! Yum!
We visited three Gaudi sites. You MUST see Familia Sagrada while you are there. You will never be able to describe it or take pictures that do it justice. It is breath-taking. The small plazas are charming with plenty of crowded places to eat tapas and drink! I love this city!
It was very easy to take a train from Villefranche to Monaco. We loved watching the changing of the guard in Monaco and looking down on the start/finish line of the Grand Prix Formula 1 Racing Track. I wish we'd had more time to get over to Monte Carlo!
Pisa and Florence are relatively far from the port. We stayed back with the boat.
We were so happy that we booked a night in Rome and had a car waiting for us at the port. Definitely recommend the Pantheon and Vatican City. Stay in this gorgeous city for an extra day if you can. We disembarked so early that we had plenty of time for sightseeing on the day we arrived.
Miami was fine. We mostly boarded the boat and got into swimsuits to wait for our luggage to arrive at the cabin.
