Sail Date: Apr 2016

Having cruised previously with P&O UK, P&O and Princess, this was our first with Carnival. We chose this cruise as it fitted in with our respective holidays and the itinerary was one we had never been on before.

We flew into Sydney on day of departure and had Carnival Transfers to the ship. Embarkation was a breeze with our boarding passes being stamped Priority at the airport and we were able to board without waiting in long queues. To this we say Thank You Carnival.

Once on the ship, our breath was taken away by the decor - dark, tacky etc, something we did not expect to confront us. We were also disappointed that there were no staff around to guide us in the right direction to our cabin. Not a pleasant experience at all but we managed and it turned out to be an adventure of discovery of the ship on a whole.
