First, we have been on 25+ cruises and were on Norweigan last year in Europe. So,Where do I start...... It seems great to get all the booze you want until you find they cut staff and entertainment to keep expensis down. Everyone was very helpful, though.
When you go to the regular dining room on this cruise, you will see that if you want a Steak on the menu, you must pay extra for it..as much as $25 for Steak and Lobster. I understand the upscale dining is extra, but the regular dining??? Most of the options remained the same every day.
We went to Cagneys for some upscale dining ( in Europe it was a flat charge of about $25.00), but on this ship everything was alacarte. We ordered a shrimp cottail to split ($8), and it had 3 shrimp... My wife wanted to substitute green beens for rice and they upcharged her $2. we paid $4 for a salad...... It isn't the money it is the principle. 70 bucks for dinner excluding booze seemed out of line.
