This cruise was amazing. There was always something to do. The employees of Carnival were absolutely amazing and friendly. They wanted to make sure we got the best care. Our wait staff in the London Dining room were the absolute BEST. Lucian, George, and Joel. We never ate dinner anywhere else on the ship because we enjoyed our time with them so much.
We didn't see our room steward often because he always wanted to clean while we were gone, but he always did an excellent job cleaning our room and we loved the towel animals. His name was Jose. We stayed in an ocean view connecting room 2378 and 2376. We had 3 people (3 women in 2378 and a couple and their daughter in 2376) and there was plenty of space for all of us to put our things away and we had space to store our suitcases under the bed so that no floor space was taken up. The beds were the best!! Shower temp was always hot, never had a time that we didn't have HOT water. The bathrooms are small but there is plenty of space to get ready and store things. There was plenty of hangers and closet space as well.
The only negative thing about the whole entire cruise was when we got to land in Progreso (Yucatan) the people HOUNDED you to buy all sorts of things from cigars to massages, you name it. They would not leave you alone. So we didn't even get to enjoy the beach because we had people hounding us the whole time. We went to a restaurant across the street from the beach and people were hounding us the whole time through the open window. We decided to walk back about three blocks to where the buses dropped us to catch another bus back to the ship.
Amazing. Plenty of space. Very comfy beds. Air was nice and cool! Which was awesome after a long hot day out. Shower always had HOT water. Beautiful ocean view from cabin window. It is a huge window!
I had a blast in New Orleans. Just walked around sight seeing and taking it all in. Ate dinner at Pat O'Briens Courtyard and it was good food. Stayed at St.Charles Maison Quality Inn and it was nice but could have done a better job cleaning the guest rooms.
They take you about three blocks into town by bus and drop you off. You then have to walk about three blocks to the beach while being hounded by the locals to buy things. Once you get near the beach the hounding is 10x worse. You can't turn around good without someone wanting you to buy something. It's not worth getting off the ship unless you are going to see the ruins or something on an excursion.
