This was our ninth cruise with NCL and the first one on such a big ship.
Arr POM@1015. No wait for check-in. Given Boarding group 14. Boarded ship@1115 through deck 7 Casino and the smoke smell was omnipresent. People not familiar with the ship layout didn't know where to go and could not find the reception. Stairwell for 678 Ocean Place is narrow and is not straight and could prove difficult for people with some mobility issues to use. In the evening they were also used for portrait pictures which limited the use of some stairs.
Safety drill was held in the Casino (D7). Nightmare after the drill as people could not move around and wait for elevators was very long.
Spacious with a nice layout and good storage. The bed was by the balcony and very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious with lot of storage. Balcony is small.
POM should learn and implement the check-in process used at Port Canaveral for Latitude members as returning guests and be granted higher priority boarding preferences.
Visited the small boutiques and we felt very safe.
This is a tender port. Shopping was great
Visited the small boutiques in search for souvenirs.
This port was our best shopping experience of the whole cruise with prices that are very reasonable.
