Review of two recent cruises on the Celebrity Silhouette.
We booked the transatlantic voyage from Fort Lauderdale to Southampton UK via ports of Lisbon Portugal, Vigo Spain and Le Havre France. We also booked the next cruise (back to back) departing Southampton and stopping at Oslo Norway, Skagan Denmark, Helsingborg Sweden, Copenhagen Denmark, Fredericia Denmark, and ending our voyage in Amsterdam Netherlands. The first cruise thirteen nights and the second, nine.
Checking in and boarding went extremely well with no confusion or delays. Cabins were open to guests before 1:00PM. That is always appreciated. Luggage arrived in a timely manner and was brought into the cabin by the attendant.
We actually had two cabins as we did a B to B and the second was in Aqua class. Both cabins were the same design. Both had a balcony which was seldom used as the voyage was o the cool to cold side. Beds were comfy and shower amenities were good. he main difference between the two was the Aqua class had a high end shower. A bottle of Champagne was waiting for us on arrival. Attendants were very pleasant and efficient. Cabin was always clean and orderly. Daily crudités were not exciting.
