We flew in from Alberta, Canada, and had to take a hotel the night before. We were notified that the Princess Crown ship would be delayed because the ship had previously been infected with the NuroVirus so they had to do massive cleaning..originally we were to board at 12:00pm but then asked us to board at 3:00pm then another delay for 4:15pm then more delays when we got their...it was shortly after 6:00pm when we finally boarded.

We didn't get suitcases till later, I think maybe 7pm. I politely asked Customer Service if they can give me a credit on-board for our incidentals that occurred off ship while being delayed & missing out on 1/2 day on ship, also having to eat lunch in LA + late check-out from hotel, etc... but they said that they weren't giving out anything. Most of the passengers on board were from California so didn't affect them as much, but coming from Canada, and our Canadian Dollar being so expensive it was an expensive vacation, and day 1 was a right off.

We also had a sink in the bathroom that wasn't working, we had a plumber in our stateroom just before midnight to fix it. The concierge when cleaning should've noticed that the sink wasn't draining?! It baffles me that we were given a room with a sink that doesn't drain. Our room wasn't the cleanest either, hair clip from previous guests on our lamp and bill from previous guest left, also hair all tied into the blowdryer, and yucky stuff on bathroom door which I cleaned myself.
