Beautiful as always have been there many times so just went from hotel across the street to the ship

Good refresher of island; lots of stops.  Only one departure delay.  Food  stop [only] at Polynesian Cultural Center wasn't very good.

Kona (Kailua Bay)

Never got there, very disappointed as it was a once in a life time chance

Rarotonga

A functioning town supporting the island.  Nice not to see the usual cruise tourist shops.  But because Captain cancelled all excursions because of the weather, and poor condition of roads, we were stuck just wandering around the shops.

Raiatea

As the bus tour would be later in the afternoon, took a shuttle to the Bora Pearl Company.  Learned a lot, and yes bought a pearl, though we certainly weren't pressured.

Weather caused some difficulty in seeing the island at it's best.  But did see some interesting sights.  Enjoyed the stop to view the local women dying pareo fabric.  Second day rained so many water excursions were cancelled.

Driver unfortunately was a mission to downgrade the French government, and brag about her work with the local pregnant teenage girls.

Rain again, but skies cleared just in time for us to view the ship from the viewpoint.

Even the food service officer staff admitted that the pasteurized eggs tasted weird, and had an unpleasant texture.We took time to get to know the bar staff over the 30 day period with EXTENDED sea days.
